Welcome to the Sayers Common Development Consultation
This Pre-Application website has been prepared on behalf of Riverdale Developments to explain the emerging design approach for the allocated site known as West House Farm, Henfield Road.
The website sets out the site context, key constraints and opportunities, and the design proposals relating to land use, architectural character, access, movement, and sustainability.
The application seeks Detailed Planning Permission for up to 316 residential dwellings of mixed type and tenure, including 30% Affordable Housing, alongside areas of Public Open Space (POS) and improvements to connectivity.

Site location
The site is located in close proximity to the existing village of Albourne. To the north and east, the site is bordered by Henfield Road, which will provide the primary access point to the development.
Riverdale Developments also has control of the land to the south of the site, including the Grade II listed buildings known as Westhouse Farm.

Following this period of community engagement, we will review all feedback received and consider it in developing the final proposals. A planning application will then be submitted to the local council for determination.
